On-line UON course for emerging business leaders and innovators begins early 2019


Entrepreneurship 101 (E101) is a 5-week online course offering a mix of materials for every style of learning, weekly mentorship from expert practitioners and the tools you need to create your startup all in one place. 


The University of Newcastle's Integrated Innovation Network (I2N) is bringing this successful program developed by Toronto's MaRS Discovery District to the Hunter region, and they want you involved. Not only can you learn at your own pace online, but the course is made affordable due to subsidies from the NSW State Government's Boosting Business Innovation Program.

Entrepreneurship 101 is designed for emerging business leaders and innovators that want a masterclass in entrepreneurship. The next cohort begins Monday 4 February 2019 and studies through to 11 March, 2019. 

What you'll learn

  • Develop your startup idea, product vision and value proposition
  • Create the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to validate your product or service
  • Learn and work with proven methods for startup formation
  • Develop the financial model for your product
  • Work efficiently on testing and validating your product with future customers

  • 1 project a week, for 5 weeks, and you can take as long as you want to finish the course

The University of Newcastle's (UON) Integrated Innovation Network (I2N) links innovation hubs with programming designed to support and develop innovation, entrepreneurship and business development across the Hunter region. The hubs within the I2N include Hunter Street, Williamtown and Muswellbrook.
