Grab your early-bird tickets for major Austmine event in Newcastle next March
Austmine’s Mining Innovation Showcase will bring the Hunter’s mining community together at Newcastle City Hall on 5 March 2026, offering a full day of discussion, networking and collaboration focused on the region’s innovation, technology and future in mining.
The Hunter Valley, long regarded as the mining heartland of New South Wales, will take the spotlight next March as Austmine brings its Mining Innovation Showcase to Newcastle City Hall. The full-day event will connect mining operators and METS (Mining Equipment, Technology and Services) companies to explore how local innovation is shaping the next phase of the industry.
The 2026 forum is set to focus on the Hunter’s contribution to Australia’s resource sector and the region’s evolving role in applying advanced technologies, sustainability practices and collaborative approaches across the mining value chain. It will feature conference sessions, networking opportunities, and presentations that demonstrate how innovation is being applied in real mining operations.
Austmine, the national industry association representing the METS sector, says the Newcastle event will provide a valuable platform for sharing insights and building connections across mining organisations, research partners and suppliers.
Attendees can expect to hear how automation, data analytics, environmental monitoring and workforce development are driving progress in the Hunter Valley. The event will look at both challenges and opportunities specific to the region, with discussions on sustainable mining practices, critical minerals, and the skills required for the industry’s future workforce.
The Mining Innovation Showcase runs from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm on Thursday 5 March 2026, and includes full-day conference sessions, catering, and a post-event networking reception.
Early bird tickets are available until Friday 19 December 2025, with special rates for Austmine members and mining organisation employees at $600 + GST, while non-members can register for $950 + GST. Standard rates will apply after the early bird deadline.
