Nomination period for National Energy Efficiency Awards 2020 extended

The awards will recognise and celebrate excellence in energy efficiency, energy management and demand response across Australia.

Due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19, the Awards ceremony for the National Energy Efficiency Awards has been deferred from May to the second half of 2020.

As a result, the deadline for Awards submissions has been extended to June 30, 2020. Everyone that has previously submitted nominations will also have the opportunity to update their nomination prior to June 30.

A new date for the Awards ceremony will be announced soon.

The Energy Efficiency Council invites nominations for projects, colleagues and clients across eleven categories that demonstrate outstanding achievement in performance, leadership and innovation.

The award winners will be announced and presented during the National Energy Efficiency Conference 2020 Gala Dinner at the Pullman Melbourne on the Park. For more information on the Conference and to buy your ticket to the event, click here.

HOW TO NOMINATE

1. Choose a category

You should choose the category which best represents your project. You may enter multiple nominations, but a separate submission should be completed for each project.

Nominations can be made by either the client/project owner or the energy management service provider that led the project. If nominating a project on behalf of a client, please ensure you check with the client to confirm that they accept the nomination.

2. Review the criteria

Please refer to the nomination criteria before proceeding to make a nomination as the criteria for awards vary between categories. You can view the criteria for each category by clicking on the links above. Your nomination must address the criteria given for your chosen category.

Projects are only eligible if they were completed, or the results were confirmed (measured and verified), after 1 October 2018.

3. Review the Terms & Conditions of Entry

The Terms & Conditions of Entry are included in the judging criteria documents available for each category by clicking on the links above.

4. Complete your submission

All nominations must be submitted via the online submissions page. Click the 'Submit an entry' button above to get started.

You must adhere strictly to the word limits provided. You are able to return to and update your nomination entry at any time during the nominations period.

Nominations will be accepted until 5pm AEDT on Monday 30 June 2020.

5. Supporting information

Please ensure you provide the following supporting information. This information will be used for the purposes of the awards presentation ceremony, should your nomination be successful.

  • Logo(s) of the relevant organisation(s) involved in the project in jpeg format; and
  • A minimum of three images representing the project in jpeg format.

You may attach a maximum of one additional document in support of your nomination. This should be absolutely no longer than five pages and should provide additional data/information that directly illustrates the points made in your nomination.

6. Book tickets for the National Energy Efficiency Awards 2020 Gala Dinner

Award winners will be announced at the National Energy Efficiency Conference 2020 Gala Dinner at Pullman Melbourne on the Park, Melbourne VIC.

We strongly encourage all nominees to be present at the event as winners will not be notified in advance.
