Scholarship facilitates greater equity in clean energy leadership

In its third round, the incredibly popular Chloe Munro Scholarship for Transformational Leadership launches today.

Chloe munro scholarship

Founded in 2021, the Chloe Munro Scholarship for Transformational Leadership was established in recognition of the enormous legacy of the late Chloe Munro AO and to support the next wave of women leaders.

The scholarship is open to emerging and mid-level female leaders in the fields of renewable energy, energy management and carbon abatement. Successful applicants will receive a fully funded scholarship to undertake one of two courses offered by Education Provider, Women & Leadership Australia.

Today, the scholarship, established by Clean Energy Council and a coalition of organisations, opens for a third time following two incredibly popular rounds in 2021 and 2022.

Previous recipients have not only found the courses incredibly impactful on their career pathways but have found the strong network and support equally as beneficial.

Clean Energy Council Chief Executive Kane Thornton, who was previously mentored by Chloe Munro, is excited to open up the scholarship, which further builds leadership capability and drive collaboration to continue to change the Australian energy system.

"The benefits of creating greater equity in leadership will go beyond the renewables industry, and diversity in decision-making will result in better outcomes for everyone. The scholarship aims to fill Chloe's enormous shoes by creating the next wave of clean energy leaders."
