Join UNSW for an interactive conversation exploring where research can make the greatest contribution to the energy transformation
UNSW has long shaped Australia's energy innovation landscape, from pioneering the modern solar cell and flow batteries to now developing clean fuel technologies, supporting our grid transformation and informing energy policy and markets. As the energy transformation accelerates, this Town Hall will bring together UNSW researchers alongside close partners and collaborators from industry and government to discuss how research and innovation can drive impact in the energy sector and define UNSW’s role in this transformation.
Featuring a fishbowl conversation, invited experts will initiate a dialogue, involving the audience who will be encouraged to share perspectives and challenge ideas throughout.
A fishbowl dialogue is an interactive and participatory method that seeks to glean deep perspectives from all about a specific topic. There are three “fish” in the centre of the room with an open chair available for the audience to join the conversation. The discussion will be moderated by our CEO, Dani Alexander, to maximise participation.
The event will help shape the UNSW Energy Institute’s next three-year strategy in this crucial window of opportunity.
A networking reception with drinks and catering will follow, offering an opportunity to connect with partners and colleagues across the UNSW Energy Institute community.
