Join the YEPs for a short and punchy pitch session, where three voices from the industry will share ‘what keeps them up at night’ as we navigate the energy transition.

Three young energy professionals from across the industry will give a short pitch on the topics that are front of mind for them as we navigate the energy transition. Once your interest has been piqued, the floor will be opened for an interactive discussion between the audience and panel members.

Lucy Burke | Hydrogen and Clean Fuels Development Manager, ATCO
Lucy Burke is a Manager in Hydrogen and Clean Fuels Development at ATCO Australia, where she leads the development of large-scale renewable hydrogen project opportunities across the East Coast. Lucy is an experienced Project Manager and Chartered Engineer with over 10 years’ experience across the Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy sectors in engineering, commercial and management roles.
Declan Kelly | Regulatory Policy and Corporate Affairs Manager, Flow Power
Declan Kelly has worked in the NEM for over 10 years, with a focus on policy, regulation and market design. Declan graduated as a Renewable Energy Engineer from UNSW and worked at the Australian Energy Market Commission (AEMC). At the AEMC, he worked across a range of reviews and rule changes, including the wholesale demand response mechanism rule change and the Energy Security Board's two-sided market workstream before leaving to join Flow Power. At Flow Power, Declan leads the regulatory strategy, including engagements with governments and regulators.
Abby Snowdon | Project Manager, Renewable Energy, Arup
Abby is a project manager at Arup working across the renewable energy space, with a focus on green hydrogen and low carbon liquid fuels. Abby completed her PhD in Chemical Engineering at the University of Birmingham where she researched electrolysis in solid oxide cells. Before relocating to Australia last year, she worked in the UK as a technical advisor on energy policy and some of the UK’s first green hydrogen projects. Since then, she moved to Brisbane where she has supported the Australian government in its renewable energy uptake goals, and managed renewable fuel projects, including green hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, SAF and biofuels, from concept design through to pre-FEED.

Ollie Tridgell | General Manager, New Energy Business Development , ATCO
Ollie works for ATCO managing strategy and growth in its renewables and firming business. Ollie has spent 8 years in Australia’s energy sector, getting his start in regulatory affairs, policy and market design for Ausgrid, the AEMC and the Energy Security Board. Ollie also co-chairs the Clean Energy Council's Large-Scale Storage Directorate.
