Guideline for Common Data Reporting in Geometallurgy - Workshop

Directly influence the standardization of geometallurgical data reporting, ensuring the outputs reflect real-world needs and workflows.

GMG logo

The Guideline for Common Data Reporting in Geometallurgy project is working toward guidelines to standardize how geometallurgical and mineralogical data is reported, starting with data collection, the first link in the value chain. The objective is to improve how data is organized, shared, and used across mining organizations by developing clear, consistent templates and terminology for common tests.

What’s the project about?

  • Establishing reporting guidelines (schemas) for common units, comminution, flotation, leaching, and mineralogy.
  • Addressing inconsistent methodology, terminology, and reporting formats.
  • Supporting better data integration, communication, and analysis industry-wide.

Industry Validation Workshop

As the guideline advances, we want to ensure the schemas being developed are practical, usable, and valuable across the industry. These interactive sessions will:

  • Present the completed draft schemas for comminution, flotation, leaching, mineralogy, and common units.
  • Invite peer review and feedback from geometallurgists, programmers, and laboratory specialists.
  • Assess the minimum data required for each field to ensure a balanced perspective across technical, analytical, and practical use cases.
  • Build consensus around consistent reporting formats and terminology, helping to improve data integration, communication, and decision-making across the mining value chain.

By joining, you have the opportunity to directly influence the standardization of geometallurgical data reporting, ensuring the outputs reflect real-world needs and workflows.
