AI is rapidly reshaping industries, workplaces and economies. At the same time, investment in data centres and digital infrastructure is accelerating, creating opportunities for places like the Hunter with the energy, land, connectivity and workforce required to support growth.

For the Hunter, the opportunity extends beyond technology itself. The discussion will explore participation in the AI economy, the risks and constraints that may shape investment, and the strategic choices needed to maximise regional benefit.

Discussion topics include:

• Infrastructure requirements for the AI economy

• Applications of AI and implications for productivity, competitiveness and industry

• Workforce and skills
