Hunter Transmission Project - project update
You’re invited to join EnergyCo for a Hunter Transmission Project update to learn more about the latest design refinements made in response to community and stakeholder feedback.
These updates include:
- Refining the alignment near Mount Thorley, moving approximately four kilometres of the 500 kV transmission line further south of the Hunter River to improve flood resilience and reduce local impacts.
- Reconfiguring the Wollombi Road construction support site to include temporary workers’ accommodation (up to 300 workers), helping reduce local traffic and improve safety.
- Reducing potential impacts on Littlejohn’s Tree Frog breeding habitat and other native species through improved construction methods and reduced clearing.
- Minimising impacts on the Warkworth Sands Woodland ecological community through targeted design refinements and vegetation avoidance.
- Using existing access tracks within State Forests to reduce the need for hand-clearing and improve worker safety.
You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions via the live Q&A function during the session.
The webinars will also be recorded and uploaded to the Hunter Transmission Project webpage for up to 30 days following the event.
Please note: attendee names will not be visible during the webinar.
