G-MIRM G3 Managers Education Program
G-MIRM delivers practical and effective risk management training for people working in the resources sector and equips staff with the knowledge and skills to better identify hazards and make effective decisions about risk.
Experienced practitioners within MISHC facilitate the training. Courses can be delivered on site or at UQ's Sustainable Minerals Institute on the St Lucia campus, and work is underway to deliver some courses online.
G-MIRM is available for Executives (G4), Managers (G3), Supervisors (G2) and for general staff (G1).
The G3 Managers Education Program is our most popular G-MIRM program and is delivered across four days.
G3 is aimed at:
- Mine, project or section managers, superintendents, mine captains, plant supervisors, senior technical staff, safety managers and practitioners
- Division or coporate technical and functional staff
In Queensland, Australia, G-MIRM (Global Minerals Industry Risk Management) G3 Managers Education Program is mapped against the industry competency RIIRIS601E: Establish and Maintain the Risk Management System, as identified by the Mining Safety and Health Advisory Committee and the Coal Mining Safety and Health Advisory Committee.
