To celebrate International Women in Engineering Day in Port Macquarie, visit the Essential Energy Innovation Lab and hear from women engineers who have contributed to the project.
This year, Engineers Australia celebrates 13 years of International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) with the theme Engineering Intelligence. Across every career stage, women engineers bring insight, creativity, and courage to complex challenges, delivering meaningful impact for industries and communities. Essential Energy is a proud supporter of Women in Engineering.
To celebrate International Women in Engineering Day, visit the Essential Energy Innovation Lab and hear from women engineers who have contributed to the project.
The event will conclude with a networking opportunity to recognise and celebrate INWED.
All attendees will require closed shoes, long pants and long sleeved shirt for the site visit.
Learning outcomes
In this site visit, you will learn:
- recognise the contributions of women engineers across different career stages and their impact on industry and communities
- gain insight into how engineering intelligence, creativity, and innovation are applied in real‑world projects
- learn about the Essential Energy Innovation Lab, its purpose, and the engineering challenges it addresses
