Paul currently co-leads Austrade’s defence, space and infrastructure sectors across North America. He works closely with Austrade’s trade and investment specialists to create opportunities for Australian companies to win business across the region and drive productive foreign direct investment into Australia from North American investors.
Chris Knepler
Investment Commissioner, Chicago
Chris provides advisory and business development services to clients in international market entry, cross-border partnering, commercialisation strategy, global supply chain management and capital raising.
Chris has led corporate departments and managed strategic projects in the US, Europe, Latin America and Asia.
He has helped the international growth of dozens of agrifood, advanced manufacturing, clean energy and digitech companies, from start-ups to multinationals.
Rachael Howard
Trade and Investment Commissioner, New York
Since joining Austrade in 2016, Rachel has worked in a variety of roles across the agency. This includes as an export adviser for agribusiness and food clients, in corporate strategy and investment promotion. Most recently, Rachel was the Operations Lead for the International Freight Assistance Mechanism (IFAM) at Austrade. The $1 billion IFAM program helped Australian agricultural exporters who were disproportionately affected by COVID-19 to keep their air freight supply chains open, while facilitating the importation of critical health goods in response to the pandemic.
