Mining the Recovery: Opportunities for the Australian Mining sector in Latin America

This webinar will bring together an expert panel to deep dive into trends, insights and future predictions about what’s on the horizon for Latam’s mining sector, and how Australian METS can make the most of these new opportunities.

Mining will play a pivotal role in Latin America’s post-pandemic economic recovery with its gold, copper and lithium essential for the tech sector. This presents opportunities for Australian companies to diversify and grow their trade with the region. Latin American based mining companies (including multinational and local miners) will require new technologies, better data systems and sustainable and socially responsible mining practices. High priority will be the safety of workers and mining communities, as well as increase efficiency across mine operations in a post-COVID environment.

The session will feature the Hon Simon Birmingham, Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment, and an opportunity for Q&A with a panel of experts from industry and government.

Who should attend:

Australian exporters with METS (Mining Equipment, Technology and Services) capability, interested in diversifying to Latin America, or already operating in the region and looking to enter a new mining market.
