Muswellbrook Community Workshop - Building a Regenerative & Renewable Future
This workshop invites the community to explore how the Hunter can transition to renewable energy in ways that directly benefit local people, jobs, and the environment.
Participants will discuss practical steps for creating a locally driven, decentralised energy system, including how communities can respond to energy changes, shape the region’s energy future, and gain financial and social benefits from renewable energy. Whether you’re concerned about jobs, the electricity grid, wind farms, or the future of your community, this is your chance to ask questions, share ideas, and help develop real actions that support local jobs, community values, and the regeneration of landscapes.
This workshop forms part of a research project led by the University of Technology Sydney, with support from Muswellbrook Shire Council. Your participation will help ensure that local voices and experiences guide this important work.
Date – Tuesday 18th November – 9.30am to 12.30pm
Location – Muswellbrook Council’s STEM Facility - Donald Horne Building (DHB), 140 Bridge St, Muswellbrook NSW 2333.
