Through hands-on activities and real-world scenarios such as introducing yourself, starting conversations, and connecting with guest speakers, you’ll build practical techniques to help you feel more at ease in networking situations. You'll explore the value of networking, learn how to approach new contacts with purpose, and practise maintaining meaningful, professional dialogue. You'll leave with a toolkit of strategies to make your next event more impactful and rewarding.

Learning outcomes

In this presentation, you will:

  • gain an understanding of what networking is and how you can benefit from it
  • learn how to approach a person with the intent to network
  • practice making and sustaining conversations in a professional context.
