CEDA’s annual Newcastle and Hunter Regional Development Forum provides an update for those needing to know the critical issues in planning for the future.

Over two days, CEDA's 2019 forum will bring together senior leaders across government, business and academia to examine population and demography, the energy transition and the state's economic blueprint as well as planning priorities including vital infrastructure investment, sustainability, and technology, industry diversification and jobs.

The forum will feature a keynote dinner address by Federal Minister for Regional Services, Decentralisation and Local Government; Assistant Minister for Trade and Investment, the Hon. Mark Coulton.

The Hunter is the largest regional economy in Australia, driving 28 per cent of regional NSW's total economic output and centred around Newcastle, Australia’s seventh largest city. The region features a nationally significant industrial base, strengths in research, and a growing health, education and services base.
