NSW Export Capability Building Workshop - Export Marketing
NSW Export Capability Building workshop is aimed at businesses seeking to initiate export activities, or export-ready businesses looking to consolidate their knowledge and maximise long-term export gains.
Given the challenges of COVID19 over the last few years, and the changing international landscape it is more important than ever to be prepared for what lies ahead.
This export marketing workshop is aimed to increase your business' preparedness for export and improve your export marketing. It also provides information about where to allocate you marketing investment into your export business. The workshop will include education and application information, on export marketing for businesses who are potential, new or existing exporters. Any sector can attend, and its free.
The workshop is brought to you by Investment NSW, with support from Department of Regional NSW, Austrade, HunterNet, Hunter Defence and Business NSW (Central Coast and Business Hunter).
The workshop will cover:
- What really is Unique Selling Proposition (USP) and Pitching?
- What is market research (researching the target market, market access, due diligence & IP) and why is it important?
- Export Marketing: how might it be different to marketing in the domestic market?
- Export marketing, strategic planning, and implementation
- Case study
- Export marketing tips and examples

About the Presenters
Siegfrid Bacani - Wine Exporter and Marketing Expert, 7000 Islands Wine Co.
Siegfrid is the founder of 7000 Islands® Wine Co. - a wine export business exporting Aussie wines to The Philippines.
Siegfrid's international marketing experience extends from the United Kingdom, Australia and The Philippines - for consumer goods manufactured from agricultural products such as wine & spirits. Credentials include Bacardi, Jack Daniel's, Chandon, Cape Mentelle and Cloudy Bay.
As a regional exporter himself, Siegfrid has been able to draw on his own export journey connecting with and sharing practical examples of Marketing for Export to new exporters teaching marketing as a valuable 'investment'.
Now Siegfrid works closely with other Small Business Owners and Entrepreneurs to up-skill and build their own Marketing Plans customising their marketing message for an international export market.
Jacqui Daley - Marketing Expert, Managing Director, The Measured Marketer
Jacqui Daley is the Managing Director of The Measured Marketer, a strategic marketing consultancy working with STEM based businesses across the Hunter Region.
Jacqui is an experienced Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) with over 18-years of experience working in marketing across small, medium and large-sized organisations in Australia and the UK in Property, Entertainment, Financial Services, Education, Disability Services, Manufacturing, Heavy Industry and Defence Industry.
She is a Certified Practicing Marketer, accredited with the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) and loves nothing more than driving change and getting results.
Jacqui is a Director on the Board of the Hunter Manufacturing Awards, Hunter IF and the Hunter Defence Taskforce, and in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 a judge of the AMI Awards.
A strong advocate for local manufacturing, Jacqui works with a range of clients exporting products and solutions across South East Asia, USA, Europe and South America.
