Participatory System Dynamics Mapping for Regional Industrial Transformation
This seminar will explore how participatory systems mapping can assist in unlocking Australia’s future mineral industries by developing regional roadmaps, highlighting systematic risks, providing policy coherence support and by facilitating stakeholder engagement and public consultations.

Speaker bio: Humair Nadeem is a policy and project leader at CSIRO, with expertise in system dynamics and strategic analysis supporting Australia's minerals and energy transition. He led the development of a participatory system mapping for the Upper Spencer Gulf (USG), engaging stakeholders across government, industry, and community to explore the region’s potential in magnetite mining, hydrogen production, and renewable energy. With over a decade of experience across engineering, research, and public policy, Humair combines technical insight with systems thinking to inform regional development pathways and support integrated, future-focused planning in the resources sector.
