Join us in person for the final PIANC NSW chapter event of 2025 to learn about infrastructure initiatives at the Port of Long Beach and celebrate the end of a busy 2025 with industry colleagues over light refreshments. The event is kindly hosted by AECOM in their Sydney office.
Rajeev Seetharam, Deputy Harbour Engineer at the Port of Long Beach, California, will talk about curent and future initiatives taking place at the port including port roadway traffic challenges balancing cargo movement with construction activity.
The Port of Long Beach, the second-busiest container gateway in North America, spans 3,200 acres with 80 berths, handles about 9.65 million TEUs annually, supports cargo valued at roughly $300 billion, and sees approximately 2,000 vessel calls per year.
