Scaling Sustainable Aviation Fuels & Future Leaders Meet and Connect

This session will bring together industry leaders to explore the political, commercial, regulatory and technological considerations shaping the next wave of SAF projects.

Ipfa event

Sustainable aviation fuels are emerging as a critical pathway for decarbonising one of the hardest‑to‑abate sectors. While Australia’s renewable electricity and storage industries continue to mature, the sustainable fuels sector remains in its early stages, with only a small pipeline of projects currently progressing. Developing SAF at commercial scale will require significant capital investment, long‑term operational horizons and complex, multi‑disciplinary legal support.

This session will bring together industry leaders to explore the political, commercial, regulatory and technological considerations shaping the next wave of SAF projects. It will also examine the roles of key legal workstreams, from project structuring and approvals to power supply, technology licensing, project finance and certification, highlighting the opportunities and challenges for industry as Australia accelerates its sustainable fuels capability.

We’re opening a dedicated networking space designed to spark meaningful conversations between our senior leaders and Future Leaders.

Thirty minutes before registration begins, attendees will be invited to join a “speed networking” session – a chance to meet new faces, exchange ideas, and build connections across the industry.

If you’d like to participate, simply contact Connect@ipfa.org.

Our Future Leaders Committee and Council will pair participants to ensure everyone has the opportunity to connect.

Spaces are limited – secure your spot today!
