Solving for Offtake: Insights from the Green Fuels Accelerator
This webinar will share research from the Green Fuels Accelerator on best practices for tackling common offtake challenges, and hear directly from offtakers and experts.
The Green Fuels Accelerator, delivered by Cyan Ventures, funded by the Australian Renewable Energy Agency and supported by Qantas, Boeing and other commercial partners - is working with seven Australian low carbon liquid fuel projects to support their commercialisation, including technical support, regulatory guidance, financing / offtake strategy and general strategy assistance. Together, Cyan Ventures and Bioenergy Australia will run a number of webinars to share insights from the work. This first webinar tackles the biggest challenge in building a low-carbon liquid fuels (LCLF) project – offtake.
Project developers, lenders and investors consistently identify weak demand and unresolved offtake risk as the dominant reason that projects with strong fundamentals do not reach final investment decision (FID). This webinar will share research from the Green Fuels Accelerator on best practices for tackling common offtake challenges, and hear directly from offtakers and experts.

About the Green Fuels Accelerator
Launched in June 2026, the Green Fuels Accelerator is a first-of-a-kind initiative to advance commercial scale low carbon liquid fuel production in Australia. Funded by ARENA with support from industry partners including Qantas and Boeing, it provides tailored regulatory, technical, commercial and finance advisory support to seven selected Australian projects — Licella, Renergi, Renewable Developments Australia, Wagner Sustainable Fuels, Mercurius Biorefining, Wildfire Energy and Ethtec — spanning hydrothermal liquefaction, pyrolysis, gasification, alcohol-to-jet and cellulosic ethanol pathways across Queensland, Western Australia and New South Wales.
