Southern Africa is one of the most prospective growth regions for the Australian METS sector and is becoming increasingly important within the global critical minerals supply chain. Driven by the clean energy transition, technology transformation and infrastructure development, the region is well positioned for continued mining growth as projects advance from exploration and development through to production. Unlocking this opportunity at scale and pace will require world-class technology, operational expertise and innovation.
This three-part online program will support Australian METS companies to understand where opportunities may lie across the region, how market pathways are built, and what practical steps companies can take to assess, enter or grow their presence in Southern Africa.
The program is designed for companies exploring Southern Africa for the first time, as well as companies considering near-term engagement through Electra Mining Africa 2026 and the Australian Pavilion. It will combine regional insight, practical market entry guidance and exporter experience to help participants make informed decisions about their next steps.
