Webinar: Certification and carbon accounting of sustainable feedstocks and fuels
Certification and carbon accounting of sustainable feedstocks and fuels – a global perspective to inform an Australian approach

Join Bioenergy Australia for a two-hour technical webinar bringing together leading Australian and international experts to unpack the key methodologies and models for certification and carbon accounting of sustainable feedstocks and fuels. This session will examine existing emissions accounting schemes, share lessons learned from around the world, and provide essential insights for industry and government to inform the ongoing development of the Guarantee of Origin (GO) Scheme.
The webinar will feature expert contributions from IEA Bioenergy, Lifecycles, CSIRO, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (US), covering topics such as assessing the life cycle climate impacts of bioenergy systems, LCA and carbon footprint methods for Australian agricultural commodities, approaches to evaluating indirect land use change (iLUC), and modelling biofuel supply chains using the GLOBIOM model, including its application in CORSIA.
With Australia’s Guarantee of Origin Scheme currently in development, this webinar is a timely opportunity to build understanding of global approaches and raise key questions — all of which can help inform the development of the GO Scheme to ensure it effectively supports industry.
