Webinar on the changes to the CIS tender process
The Capacity Investment Scheme is introducing a suite of changes to its tender process. Join ASL for a webinar to learn more about the upcoming changes.

The webinar is intended to provide information on key changes to CIS tenders that impact future National Electricity Market (NEM) and Western Australia Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) auctions.
Potential proponents are encouraged to attend this webinar to prepare ahead of future tenders.
About the changes
On 7 July 2025, the Australian Government announced changes to future CIS tenders. These changes include:
- A single-stage tender process that combines Stage A (Project Bid) and Stage B (Financial Bid). All tender information is required by the single stage bid closing date.
- Consolidation of eligibility and merit criteria to align with the single-stage bid.
- Enhanced focus on early deliverability of projects with COD prior to 31 December 2030.
- Commercial departures no longer to be considered as a merit criterion.
- Introduction of labor standards reporting and a reserve list.
