Review emerging issues and trends in the application of electrical engineering in metalliferous and extractive mines.
This meeting of electrical engineers/electrical managers from metalliferous and extractive mines with inspectors of electrical engineering includes a review of recent incidents, site experiences in managing safety and discussions on improving electrical safety. All are welcomed that can provide constructive input in to the technical discussion. The most value will be gained if people are prepared to discuss learnings from their experiences.

- Develop networking in the western region electrical engineering fraternity.
- Create a forum for communication between the Regulator and Electrical Engineers.
