Join this media literacy session on identifying misinformation created by the ABC docuseries, 'Matter of Facts'.
We are all navigating a digital ecosystem where truth and lies can be indistinguishable, and where information is created – at scale – to change what we believe, how we behave and who we vote for.
The City of Ryde Libraries, Australian Library and Information Association and Western Sydney University, in partnership with the ABC, invite you to this free media literacy workshop to equip communities to better identify false information (misinformation).
This 2-hour workshop includes a presentation with embedded segments from the ABC docuseries The Matter of Facts, bespoke clips, written information, guided discussion prompts, a breakout activity and a short pre & post event survey. Following the workshop, participants will receive links to resources to explore at home.
